The Client.
West Coast Grease Traps is a grease trap cleaning and repair company. They provide grease trap maintenance, repair, and even installation services to numerous restaurants and parking garages in the King and Pierce County. They also provide ongoing maintenance programs custom-tailored to the needs of their customers.
Approach & Highlights.
With the exception of some of their agreement forms, none of West Coast Grease Traps’ previous content was useable. Our team spent several days performing extensive industry, competitor, and keyword research to help us develop outlines for each service page and design a more intuitive sitemap. Once we had the outlines in place, we met with West Coast Grease Traps team to start filling in the blanks regarding their specific services and processes.
West Coast Grease Traps’ content was developed with the intention of primarily being a resource for potential customers. West Coast Grease Traps wanted full pages developed to provide an overview for each of their four primary services: Cleaning, Repair, Hydro-Jetting, and Maintenance. They also wanted pages explaining best practices for the management of fats, oils, and grease (FOG) as well as content explaining the different municipal rules and regulations regarding grease trap and FOG maintenance for major cities in King and Pierce County.
For the visual design of their website, we incorporated a lot of aesthetic elements present on West Coast Grease Traps vehicles. The website is very bright and bold, using West Coast Grease Traps’ branded colors and fonts as well as our on-site photos to tie everything together. Like their trucks, the main colors we emphasized were green, blue, orange, and gray. Since their website’s design is built around their service pages, the overall navigation (both on-page and in the header/footer), is extremely streamlined and simple.
Final Result.
West Coast Grease Traps’ final website is a testament to the notion that less is more. Its streamlined navigation in conjunction with its impactful color palette, font choice, and imagery providing a visually commanding experience while its robust detailed content offers invaluable resources to potential visitors.
